Why do my current floors bounce or feel hollow?
Hollow sounds or bounce occur when the subfloor beneath has low spots greater than 3/16 of an inch. When you walk, the plank flexes into the depression. Leveling the subfloor prevents this permanently.
Can you fix squeaky wood floors before installing new vinyl or hardwood?
